Name:

I am a Christian girl and plan to raise a Christian family after I graduate (as a nurse of course). I will warn you- things in this blog are bound to be completely random and pointless. I could literally talk about anything- and do it for hours.

Twi-hard

On Thursday night/ Friday morning Olivia, Taylor, and I went to see the new Twilight movie: New Moon. We got there an hour early and got good seats and were able to sit together. Our parking spot however was not so good. We parked in the middle of the aisle because parking was verrrrrrrrrrrrrry limited. People were parking at local businesses and walking over. There were so many people there. Every theater room they had was playing New Moon and all tickets were sold out.

I thought people would dress as characters or at least have twilight t-shirts on. No one really wore any twilight apparel. I thought for sure people would dress nicely in there "sunday clothes" but again they didn't. The girls and I were "over-dressed" and we just had sweaters (or sweater dresses) on. We weren't wayyy dressed up.

I guess that's Cookeville for you. No one dresses up. They just come in smelling like cigarette smoke and body odor. I am not lying when I say people wore their "jammies" and brought their fleece blankets.

Where I am from people would have at least worn jeans and a nice top. Maybe even showered. They would have worn a dab of make up and ran a comb through their hair.

This was definitely a culture shock to me. I am not aware of people going to the movies in their nighty nights and blankets. Even if it isn't a premeire in Nashville when you go to the movies you look decent.

It's kind of like going out to eat. I have noticed people in Cookeville don't look so nice when they go out to eat and I also have noticed that it affects the way I dress when I go out to eat. I have gotten slouchy since school started. I used to dress decent even when I was going to run errands. That's not exactly the case now. I wear sweat pants and a t-shirt now.... great.... thanks Cookeville!

Have a lovely day! Try to dress up =)
